Fear-less Fest

Join a costumed naturalist for a night hike along the trail at Hidden Oaks Nature Center from 7 to 9 p.m. and meet some misunderstood costumed creatures of the night. Enjoy an evening adventure with live animals, activities and crafts. This is a great activity for scouts and is suitable for children ages four year and older with an adult. Invasive Plant Removal

Join our IMA (Invasive Management Area) Volunteer Site Leader in preserving a natural meadow area at Laurel Hill from 9 to 11 a.m. Participants must be 15 years or older, unless accompanied by an adult. This workday is free to attend. 703-324-8681.

Farm Harvest Day at Kidwell Farm

Potomac Eagle Scenic Train Ride, Moorefield, WV

Junior/Parent Tournament

Teams of two compete in an 18-hole scramble format at Burke Lake Golf Course from 8 a.m. to noon. Compete in closest to the pin contests. Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place teams in two age divisions: Adult/Jr. 12 and under; Adult/Jr. 13 to17. The cost is $55 per team.
