Saturday, November 7 Get excited about indoor gardening from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Green Spring Gardens horticulturalist Mary Frogale introduces new varieties of old favorites that grow in our glasshouse and shows you how to grow them in your home. Culture, care and propagation covered. Take home a Green Spring gem. The cost is $25 per person. To reserve, call 703-642-5173. Riverside Camping Shake the dust out of your camping gear and head over to Riverbend Park. The whole family can go camping from 6 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. Saturday. Bring the kids, toasting sticks and a dinner to cook over the campfire. Take a night hike and enjoy s’mores around the campfire. A light breakfast will be provided. It will be canceled if it rains. Colonial Day at Sully Come to Sully Historic Site from 1 to 4 p.m. to experience a day in the 18th century as you witness Revolutionary War soldiers going about their daily life in camp. See a skirmish between British and Colonial troops. Learn about textile production, cooking, tobacco trade and farm skills. The wonderful house tour is included.
