Coyote Campfire On its way eastward, the coyote hybridized with timber wolves in the north and red wolves in the south and possibly wild dogs. Thus, at 20 to 45 pounds, the eastern coyote is bigger than its western cousin. Come to Ellanor C. Lawrence Park to enjoy a warm campfire, toast marshmallows, listen to taped coyote calls and learn about this awesome canine. This activity from 7 to 8 p.m. is perfect for ages eight years and older. Call 703-631-0013 to make a reservation. |
