The large picnic area near the visitor center is the perfect spot for your family picnic. As you relax enjoy the beautiful views of the river as it flows past. Grills are provided. No open fires permitted. In the summer months the tall trees provide welcome shade.
 Picnic Shelter
For large group picnics and get togethers Riverbend has a reservable picnic shelter. Located in a shady out of the way place the shelter is perfect for big family get togethers. The shelter seats up to seventy people and has picnic tables and a large grill. Click here for rental details.
 Patio Picnic Area
For small group picnics and get togethers Riverbend has a reservable deck overlooking the Potomac River. The deck seats up to 50 people. Click here for rental details.
 Picnic Area #2
For small group picnics and get togethers Riverbend has a reservable picnic area. The picnic area is located in a shady area next to the scenic Potomac and seats up to 60 people and has a small grill. Click here for rental details.
Nature Center
The Nature Center provides a cozy setting for friends, parties or business meetings. Perfect for small groups, the building space includes entry way room, a party room/conference room area and a large open space available for meetings and activities. The Nature Center accommodates up to 40 people. Call 703-759-9018 for information and reservations.
