Inclusion Site Supervisor
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Pay: $13.08/hour, approximately 37.5 40 hours per week.
Location: RecPAC Targeted Inclusion Sites only throughout Fairfax County
RecPAC 2002 Camp Dates:
Training begins Monday, June 24, 2002. Camps begin July 1,
M-F through August 9; hours: 8:15- 3:45 PM. No program July 4th & 5th.
Required:
- Attend training and orientation
- CPR/First Aid training
- 100% attendance for the duration of the program
- Demonstrate effective teamwork skills and develop a team concept within the site.
Documentation:
- Completes and reviews evaluations for employees at week 2 and week 6
- Ensures all assigned participants with disabilities have a completed and parent signed accommodation plan and pre-inclusion survey in file
- Ensure incident reports are documented accurately and timely and faxed to the office within 24 hours.
- Ensures medications are dispensed and documented as required
- Reviews time and attendance for accuracy before faxing the payroll sheets;
ensures payroll sheets in office by 12 noon of payday.
- Reviews new registrations for accuracy and pertinent issues, faxes registrations to the program manager within 24 hours.
- Reviews and approves weekly progress notes BEFORE they are sent home
Behavior Management:
- Provides effective interventions and/or strategies for problem solving behavioral issues
- Ensures all site staff (RecPAC and Inclusion) are consistent with the implementation of strategies. Models and demonstrates interventions as needed.
Programmatic:
- Ensures staff implementing appropriate modifications and adaptations to activity as needed, models as needed.
- Empowers individuals to participate to the best of their ability
- Provides sensitivity training as needed
- Ensures full program access on designated field trips, makes arrangements for accommodations as needed.
- Supervises the planning, facilitation and evaluation of activities based on weekly theme while ensuring full inclusion
Communication:
- Communicates to program manager ongoing issues with consumers or incidents
- Provides daily feedback to staff and volunteers regarding facilitation, enthusiasm, planning, transitions, interactions, teamwork, and behavior management and/or other critical issues.
- Keeps program manager abreast of employee performance issues/site operations
- Ensures all site staff (RecPAC and Inclusion) are utilizing a team approach in working with all children (full inclusion).
- Notifies the program manager immediately when attendance is down (inclusion kids only) in the event inclusion staff are needed at other
locations.
- Fax all new registrations to the program manager ASAP.
- Serves as the primary liaison between parents and the program, ensuring effective communication.
