Old-Fashioned Holiday Celebration
Celebrate holiday festivities at Frying Pan Farm Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stroll the 1930s working farm enjoying live music, watch equestrian demonstrations and visit the farm house. Bring the family to children’s holiday shopping at the Country Store, enjoy a wagon ride, warming fire, carolers, and holiday photo opportunity with Santa in his sleigh. Wine isn’t the only beverage that complements cheese. Experience the many flavor profiles of teas and cheeses from around the globe in this fun and interactive class at Colvin Run Mill Historic Site from 1 to 3 p.m. Take home tea samples to create your own pairings.  The program is presented by Certified Tea Specialist and Chef Laurie Bell of Great Falls Tea Garden. 36th Annual Arts and Crafts Show at Audrey Moore RECenter
Come shop at one of Northern Virginia's largest holiday shows with plenty of great gifts to choose from. Top-quality handmade arts and crafts will be offered by nearly 120 of the area's finest artisans. Admission is $2 per person; children ages 12 and under are free. Door prizes will be awarded. Children's Holiday Shopping at Frying Pan Farm Park
Volunteers help children shop for everybody on their holiday list. The Country Store stocks many unique items in all price ranges. Free wrapping assures surprises for family and friends. Adults are invited to wait at the schoolhouse. This program is offered 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.; and Monday from noon to 4 p.m. Monday is for ages eight years and older with self-shopping and wrapping (no volunteer helpers).
