Redware with Albany slip glaze. H 8 inches; D 6 inches Gift of Mrs. Charles Wood 1965-10-003 Pitcher, early 20th century Wheel-thrown with incised lines near base, neck and collar. Attached handle. Overall exterior glaze of pipe clay with brushed-on cobalt leaf motif and daubed copper oxide decoration. Clear glazed interior, unglazed bottom. Marked “S. Bell & Son, Strasburg” for maker Solomon Bell of Strasburg, Virginia. H 9-3/4 inches; D 5 inches Gift of Carlotta Gonzales Lahey 2001-06-104 Plate, 19 century Slab construction with coggled edge. Top coated with clear lead glaze and yellow pipe clay decoration, probably applied with a slip cup. Underside unglazed. Redware with a glaze of iron salts or manganese on exterior, bottom and interior; foot of exterior base left unglazed. H 5 inches; D 9 inches Purchased from James A. Watt 1978-21-311 Cake Mold, 19th century Molded “Turks Head” cake mold glazed with molded twisted scallop design on interior. Glazed with yellow pipe clay on the interior and Albany slip on the exterior. H 2-15/16 inches; D 8-7/8 inches Gift of Carlotta Gonzales Lahey 2001-06-112 Cake Mold, 19th century Wheel-thrown plain cake mold with ridges from fingertips still visible. Mottled decoration due to glaze of copper oxide and pipe clay on interior and exterior. H 5-1/8 inches; D 10-5/8 inches Gift of Carlotta Gonzales Lahey 2001-06-113 Slop Pot, circa 1790-1880 Wheel-thrown with slightly defined collar and attached handle. Watt 1978-21-296 Bean Crock and Lid, circa 1890-1920 Wheel-thrown redware crock and lid with Albany slip glaze exterior and interior. Attached handle features three incised lines and thumbprint at base of handle. H 4-5/16 inches; D 4-5/16 inches (base) Gift of Carlotta Gonzales Lahey 2001-06-108AB Serving Bowl, circa 1780-1860 Slab constructed shallow rectangular bowl with coggled edge.
