The Sweet Side of Tea Saturday, January 10
The Sweet Side of Tea
1-3 p.m.
This interactive tasting seminar at Colvin Run Mill Historic Site explores the many flavors of honey and maple syrup and how they can enhance a variety of green, black and herbal teas. Taste treats made with these three straight-from-nature ingredients. This program is presented by Certified Tea Specialist and Chef Laurie Bell of Great Falls Tea Garden. The cost is $30 per person. Pairing Premium Teas & Chocolates
1-3 p.m.
Sip premium teas and savor the decadent delights of a variety of chocolates – white, milk, semi-sweet, bittersweet and extra dark. Sample some treats made with tea and chocolate. A take home tea sampler is included in the $30 fee. To reserve, call 703-759-2771.

Sundays, February 8 and 22
Maple Syrup Boil-Down
noon-2 p.m.
Bundle up, brave the weather, and watch and learn as sap is boiled down into sweet syrup over an open fire at Colvin Run Mill Historic Site. Sample the delicious combination of maple syrup over fresh baked cornbread, while supplies last. The $5 fee includes admission to a pre-season open house at the mill.
