Grain Grinding at Colvin Run Mill

Run of the Mill REGISTER

1-3 p.m.

(6 years and older) Visit historic Colvin Run Mill to learn about the milling process from beginning to end. This hands-on program teaches you how we clean, mill and sift grain using antique equipment. All participants get to take home a souvenir sample bag of what is milled during class. Great for families.

Maple Syrup Boil-Down
Sundays, Feb. 5, 12 or Mar. 5
noon to 2 p.m.
No reservations required.
The sap is rising and the maple trees are tapped. Now it’s sugaring time! Bundle up, brave the weather, watch and learn as sap is boiled down into sweet syrup over an open fire. Sample the delicious combination of maple syrup over fresh baked cornbread. While supply lasts! This is an outdoor program, please dress appropriately. The cost is $5/person.

Blending Teas: The Basics

Single origin teas can be exquisite elixirs to sip and savor on their own. However, many Americans love the variety of teas with added flavor. Learn tea-blending basics and create your own special blend to take home in this interactive seminar. Tea-infused treats included. Premium Tea and Chocolate Pairing

This delectable seminar has become a pre-Valentine’s Day tradition! Sip premium teas and savor decadent chocolate varieties ranging from white to extra dark. Hear a bit of history and the similarities between the tea plant and the cacao tree as you learn how to pair premium tea and chocolate successfully to bring out the best of both.
