Grinding Grain

Noon-3pm
The miller will be grinding weather and water conditions permitting. Please call ahead for more information. Tours: $6 adults, $5 student 16 and up with ID, $4 child & seniors.

Ice Cream Making

1-3pm
See how ice cream was made in the past and learn some facts about America's favorite treat. Then help hand-crank a delicious batch of ice cream and sample your efforts. $1.25 per cup

Mill Run Dulcimer Band Concert

2-4pm
Bring a picnic and enjoy the sounds of the Mill Run Dulcimer Band in the lovely September weather. FREE Donations accepted.

Off the Couch, Out of the Car, Find Your Feet

1-3pm
Great family fun! Make trail mix, play a relay game to learn how to dress for hiking weather, and find your feet on the Cross County Trail. Program includes a 45 minute walk on the trail. Reservations required by 9/17. Canceled if weather is inclement. $5 per person

Mill Run Dulcimer Band

7-9pm
Enjoy an evening in the barn as the band ends the concert season with old-time music and folk tunes. FREE Donations accepted.

December

Children's Holiday Shopping

The store will be stocked with unique items in all price ranges, most under $10. Volunteers help children find the perfect gift for everyone on their lists. Free wrapping assures surprises for family and friends. Please call ahead for groups of 6 or more. Adults are invited to wait on site.

13 Saturday
Country Christmas

3-6pm
Enjoy an old-fashioned evening of family holiday fun. Visit Santa in the mill and peek at antique toys under the country Victorian Christmas tree. Join costumed members of the 49th Virginia Infantry singing carols around the campfire. Other activities include holiday crafts and roasting marshmallows. $6 (ages 3-93)

19 Saturday & 20 Sunday
Model Train Display

11am-4pm
Fun for all ages! Watch a G-gauge trains wind their way through a miniature western town in the Colvin Run Barn. FREE

Birthday Party PackageBirthday Party Package

Add a unique attraction to birthday parties for children ages 5-12 years old with either a puppet show or mill tour. Base price of $175 includes two hours in the barn party area with a mill staff host and maximum 15 children. $50 nonrefundable deposit required upon reservation. Available April through November.
