Indian Skills for Scouts
*Sunday, May 18
(8 yrs. and up), 1-2:30 pm. Scouts learn Native American skills by participating at stations on fire making, cooking, tracking, traps and tool making. Reservations required. $6/person.
New Jr. Girl Scout Nature Badge Camp
9:30am-12:30pm. Ellanor C. Lawrence Park, 703-631-0013
Fulfill six "Let's Get Outdoors" badges! Badges include: Eco-Action, Outdoor Creativity, Wildlife, Your Outdoor Surroundings, Hiker, and featuring Camp Together on Thursday evening, where scouts will participate in an overnight in the park. Patches are included pending completion. Site Patch is also included.
August 25-29, ages 9-11. $175 per Camper
Limit: 20 children
Scout Self-Guided Badge Packets and Orienteering
Self-guided packets to work on badges are now available for use at Walney Visitor Center. Scout leaders guide the troop through activities to earn merit badges. Packets can be signed out for use at Ellanor C. Lawrence Park during visitor center operating hours. There is a $12 fee for the use of the packet. Packets currently available include:
