TextPark Authority Seeks Comment on Proposed Fees
The Fairfax County Park Authority will hold its annual public comment meeting on the agency's proposed fee adjustments for this year on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 7 p.m., in Room 106 of the Herrity Building located at 12055 Government Center Parkway in Fairfax, VA. This is an opportunity for members of the public to comment on these proposed changes.
Information outlining all proposed fee changes is now available for public review. Information can be found online. Additionally, a desk copy of the fee proposal is available for review at Park Authority offices in the Herrity Building and at staffed park facilities, including all RECenters, golf courses, nature centers and historic sites.
A 30-day comment period begins January 14, 2013. Mail and e-mail comments must be received no later than February 12, 2013. Additionally, public input on these proposals is invited. Citizens may wish to attend the public comment meeting to speak or simply wish to forward comments. Feedback will be accepted via e-mail to Parkmail@fairfaxcounty.gov or you may send your written comments to: Attention Public Information Office/Fee Comments, Fairfax County Park Authority, 12055 Government Center Parkway, Suite 927, Fairfax, VA 22035-1118.
This meeting will feature a brief overview of the fee process and provide an opportunity for public comment. Citizens wishing to speak at the meeting may pre-register by calling the Public Information Office at 703-324-8662. You need not register in advance to speak at the meeting.
The Herrity Building may be reached by taking Beltway Exit 49 (I-66 west) to Route 50 west to West Ox Road south. Turn left onto Monument Drive. Follow Monument Drive approximately one half mile to Government Center Parkway. Take the first right and follow to the parking garage at the Herrity Building.
