Equestrian Facilities Frying Pan Farm Park boasts equestrian facilities for show and practice. The Indoor Arena has an indoor riding arena 110 feet by 235 feet with a sand-base floor and spectator seating for 800. In addition to open riding, the center is used for horse shows that feature some of the area's top horses and riders. Two outdoor riding rings with all-weather footing and more than three miles of cross-country trails are available to equestrians. Jump equipment and over 150 semi-enclosed stalls complete the facilities that make up the county's Equestrian Center. Equestrian events vary throughout the year. Open riding is permitted 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. daily, except if arenas or trails are booked for an event. Most events are free for spectators. Hours are subject to change. While we try to keep equestrian facilities open year round riding spaces may be closed for maintenance, private rentals, horse shows or conditions related to weather. Please have a copy of your horse's current, negative coggins available. Anyone traveling from outside of Virginia will need to have the appropriate health papers issued by a certified Veterinarian. Virginia Hunter Horse Show Saturdays: October 1, November 5, December 10, January 14, February 4, March 10, April 14 Walk, trot, canter, beginner horse show. Classes include hunters, ponies, equitation and more. Held indoors rain or shine. Spectators FREE. Show starts at 9am All shows are VHSA associate rated except the November 5th show Friday Night Schooling available from 3-9pm - Stalls available All shows start at 9am, Warm up 7–8:45am $15 per class day of show Pre-register for $12 per class.
