Equestrian FacilitiesFrying Pan Farm Park boasts equestrian facilities for show and practice. The Activities Center has an indoor riding arena 110 feet by 235 feet with a sand-base floor and spectator seating for 800. In addition to open riding, the center is used for horse shows that feature some of the area's top horses and riders. Two outdoor riding rings with all-weather footing and more than three miles of cross-country trails are available to equestrians. Jump equipment and over 150 semi-enclosed stalls complete the facilities that make up the county's Equestrian Center. Equestrian events vary throughout the year. Open riding is permitted 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. daily, except if arenas or trails are booked for an event. Most events are free for spectators. Please call the park office at 703-437-9101 for information. Clinic with Mark Rashid May 13-15, 2008 Pre-Event evening May 12, 2008. The clinic, "Problem-Solving and Horsemanship" will address common problem areas such as head tossing, difficulty in catching, gait transitions, and much more. The fees for the three day clinic are $495 per rider. Auditor fees are $30 per day or $80 for all three days. |
