JGC Jefferson Golf Course
Hole 1
#1
Par 4
303 yds
Avoid over swinging on this short 303 yard Par 4. There is a large environmental hazard on the right hand side so a simple tee shot that clears the hill leaves you with a decent approach. Be sure to avoid the bunker on the left side of the green. Hitting your approach shot short of the pin is smart; a steep down slope makes 2 putting a challenge.
Hole 2
#2
Par 4
306 yds
This hole requires a straight shot off the tee. Aim down the right side of the fairway. A miss left will most likely end up in the environmental hazard and result in a 1 stroke penalty. The approach plays slightly uphill so if you are in between clubs, club up and swing easy.
Hole 3
#3
Par 3
152 yds
The large bunker on the right hand side is a ball magnet, try to keep your tee shot to the left side because there is a lot of green to work with. A 145 yard tee shot will put you in the center of the green and set you up for an easy 2 putt par.
Hole 4
#4
Par 4
335 yds
Length is not as important as accuracy on this short par 4. Any tee shot that is hit over 150 yards and straight will set you up in good position from the fairway. A pond in front of the green makes this hole difficult and demands a good shot.
Hole 5
#5
Par 5
399 yds
On your tee shot, aim down the right side of the fairway. A ball hit too far right can be brought back into play without a stroke penalty. The large trees guard the green and they make your second shot difficult. A golfer who hits a high ball can go over the trees. If you can’t go over the tress, a lay-up to the left will set you up for an easy approach.
Hole 6
#6
Par 4
266 yds
This 266 yard Par 4 is reachable for long hitters and can be reached in two by short hitters. Big hitters may be tempted to grip it and rip it, but large trees guard the right side of the green. A pond on the left, a small creek 100 yards out, and an environmental hazard on the right provide challenges to hitting a good tee shot. The green runs deep so aiming long isn’t a bad strategy.
Hole 7
#7
Par 3
103 yds
A solid tee shot to a large green makes this a routine Par 3 or even a birdie hole. Don’t let this short hole get the better of you, a simple punch shot or easy swing is all you need off the tee. Good luck!
Hole 8
#8
Par 4
382 yds
Our #1 handicapped hole is a Par 4 that is 382 yards uphill. There is a small creek that runs just before the fairway, so a solidly struck tee shot is crucial. Try to be underneath the pin on the approach, a steep downward sloping green challenges golfers to not 3-putt.
Hole 9
#9
Par 4
238 yds
If there is a tailwind, this 238 yard par 4 becomes much more reachable. A tee shot that leaks to the right may find the bunker and turn a straightforward par hole into a difficult Par 4. This is one of the flattest greens on the course so a nice approach can leave you with a good birdie opportunity.
