Laurel Hill Golf Club Employment/Volunteer Opportunities

The Fairfax County Park Authority is accepting applications for positions at Laurel Hill Golf Club. Employment dates and hours will vary. Mandatory training will take place in August.

Spring / Summer

DRIVING RANGE/BAG DROP ATTENDANT
Seasonal position
Retrieves and cleans range balls. Maintains the driving range tee stations in a neat and orderly fashion. Picks up trash and litter around the clubhouse and adjoining areas. Mops floors, vacuums inside of clubhouse, empties trash cans and cleans windows. Assists customers with golf bag drop off.

STARTER
Volunteer position - hours vary
Welcomes golfers and provides information necessary in assisting golfers. Confirms and/ or sets tee times for arriving golfers and fills vacant tee times with walk-on golfers. Responds to telephone requests regarding tee times and other general information. Maintains and updates tee time sheet as changes in times and golfers occur. Maintains walk-on list, noting name and time of check-in and time of tee-off.

PLAY MANAGER
Volunteer position - hours vary
Manages all activities associated with golfer management. This includes the taking of tee times, sign-in, preparation and organization of groups for assigned tee times, golfer tee-off and on-course play. Assists golfers on the course in interpreting appropriate procedures, understanding the rules of the course and maintaining acceptable pace of play. Maintains a play log for submission to management of all important conditions, actions and playing times.
