Golf Tournaments   Burke Lake Golf Course March 27 Friday Shot in the Dark Nite Tournament (12 yrs. and up) 8 pm, Burke Lake Golf Course, 703-323-1641. Teams of 2 play a 9 hole scramble using glow in the dark golf balls. Hors d' oeuvres served beginning at 7pm. Fee includes 1 glow ball. Additional glow balls are $5 each. Closest to the pin contests. Registration begins 2 weeks prior to event. Limited to first 18 teams. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place teams. Rain date April 3). Cost: $60/team. Fee due at time of registration. Fee due at time of registration, includes lunch.   Greendale Golf Course September GLOW IN THE DARK, 2 Person Night Tournament, September 18th, 7 pm Shotgun Start Teams of two play in a 9 hole scramble event using glow in the dark balls. Prizes for 1st and 2nd place. Dinner and registration are at 6:00 pm and a shot gun start is at 7:00 pm. Fees are $90 a team. Registration required by September 11th. Friday, July 24 "Glow in the Dark" Miniature Golf Tournament Jefferson Falls Miniature Golf Course, 703-573-0444. Back by popular demand is our nighttime mini golf tournament! Pizza will be served at 8pm and the tournament will have a shotgun start at 9pm. Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion. Cost is $15 per person and registration begins on June 1st. Rain date is July 31st. August Saturday, August 22 Jefferson Golf Course Club Championship 8am, Jefferson Golf Course, 703-573-0444. 18-hole individual tournament with competitors placed into flights based upon their front nine scores. October Saturday, October 3 19th Annual Shot in the Dark Tournament (15 yrs. and up) 6pm, Jefferson Golf Course, 703-573-0444. This is the original night-time golf tournament played with glow-in-the-dark golf balls, candle-lined fairways and illuminated flags. Teams of two compete in a nine-hole scramble format. There will be tournament prizes, dinner and a raffle for door prizes. Rain date is October 10.
