Visit our plant sales area offering unusual, hard-to-find plants nurtured by Green Spring's horticultural staff. The shop specializes in plants that do well in our local growing conditions and offers plants featured in Green Spring's gardens. A great opportunity to try something new in your own landscape. FROGS members receive 10% off plants in the Plant Shop.

Spring Garden Day Saturday, May 14
Spring Garden Day – THE BIG PLANT SALE
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

More than 40 local garden vendors descend on Green Spring Gardens with beautiful and unusual plants to fill your spring gardening needs. Growers and Master Gardeners are on hand to help with plant selections and gardening advice. Sponsored by Friends of Green Spring. Free admission. Tuesday, June 28
6 - 8 p.m.

Be our guests for a musical evening in the gardens with The Fender Benders, performing classic rock-n-roll from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on the lawn and groove along with this family-friendly band. A food truck, Good Grubbin’, will also be available. The Friends of Green Spring board will serve complimentary cake and lemonade. PRESENTED BY FRIENDS OF GREEN SPRING.

Sunday, July 31
1 - 3:30 p.m.

Two designers simultaneously create original floral arrangements using identical materials. Discover how different creative styles, techniques and approaches to design and materials are revealed in this highly entertaining demonstration. Reservations required. $45 for the program followed by a traditional English afternoon tea in our 1784 historic house. $22 for the program only. Saturday, August 20
10 a.m. - noon

Where would we be without the honeybee? Celebrate this wondrous insect with free activities and paid crafts for kids and adults. Meet a beekeeper, see inside a beehive, learn a bee dance, do a bee scavenger hunt, learn how bees are important to our food supply, get tips on growing a pollinator garden and purchase a pollinator starter garden. One craft ticket allows you to make a garden marker, roll a beeswax candle, sample floral honey and more. This program is intended for ages 7 to adult. Advance registration for a craft ticket is recommended. $12/person for a craft ticket.
