  • Mixed shaded and sunny sites
  • Each site provides space for at least one car or has parking nearby

AMMENITIES:

  • Potable water spigots (located at the bath house)
  • Bathhouse with sinks
  • Hot showers
  • Flushing toilets
  • Dump station with sanitary rinse-out
  • Public phones

PETS ARE ALLOWED:

  • Pets must never be left unattended
  • Pets must be on a leash in accordance with Fairfax County Leash Laws
  • Immediate clean-up and proper disposal required for all waste. Waste disposal includes double bagging waste and placing in trash receptacle.
  • Pets that exhibit aggressive behavior or excessively bark will not be allowed in the campground.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • You may bring your own firewood but because of several wood-boring bugs that threaten local trees, we ask that you only bring firewood that is from the local D.C. area. We also ask that you burn all your firewood, or give it to a camper still in the campground.
  • During winter months, snow and icy conditions may temporarily prevent passage on park roads. It is advisable to remain in the campground until staff can treat the roads or be prepared with a four-wheel drive vehicle. Watch the weather closely and be fully prepared.
  • During summer months, be prepared for very hot and humid conditions. Stay hydrated, locate a shady setting for cool down purposes, and wear sunblock.
  • The spring and fall months are the premier time to camp in the Washington, DC area. The capital celebrates with the Cherry Blossom Festival during the spring. Plan ahead and make a reservation as this is one of our busiest seasons.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • In order to receive a refund of a paid deposit, all cancellations must be requested at least two (2) weeks before your arrival date.

The star attraction at Lake Fairfax Park is the Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole, a western theme activity pool with an acre of interactive play features, including Rattlesnake River, Box Canyon Crossing, slides and flumes - all designed with kids in mind. In addition, the park has an 18 acre lake with pedal boat rentals, tour boat rides and fishing in both the lake and seasonally-stocked trout stream.
