PLEASE NOTE: This is an update for Tuesday, February 9. Since the Fairfax County Park Authority follows the opening and closing decisions of the Fairfax County Public Schools, Park Authority events, scheduled classes and group fitness (XYO) drop-in classes held at RECenters or other FCPA facilities are cancelled for Tuesday, February 9. Park Authority classes held at school locations, senior centers or community centers are cancelled. Preschool programs at Lee District and Spring Hill will not operate.
RECenters will open at noon, Tuesday, February 9 and will be available to the public. Green Spring Gardens and Frying Pan Farm Park will also open at noon, Tuesday, February 9.

Lakefront Parks
BURKE LAKE PARK is located at 7315 Ox Road in Fairfax Station. Its 888 acres feature a 218-acre lake with fishing, boating, rowboat rental,
campgrounds, a miniature train, a carousel, outdoor volleyball courts, an 18-hole par 3 golf course, disk golf, an ice cream parlor and snack bar, picnic
areas with grills, playgrounds and a miniature golf course. The fishing pier is accessible to persons with disabilities. Privately owned boats with electric motors are permitted on the lake. No gasoline powered water-craft are permitted. Swimming and windsurfing are prohibited. Nominal fees are required for
boat rentals, camping, carousel, train and other activities.
Directions: Take beltway Exit 54A (Braddock Road) west to left on
Burke Lake Road, to left on Ox Road, to park entrance on left.

LAKE ACCOTINK PARK is located at 7500 Accotink Park Road in
Springfield. Its 493 acres include a 55-acre lake with boating, fishing,
hiking, miniature golf, a carousel, snack bar, tourboat rides, trails, picnic
areas and playgrounds. Boats powered by electric motors, sailboats under 15
feet and kayaks are allowed on the lake. . Swimming and windsurfing are
prohibited. Nominal fees are required for miniature golf, the carousel, rowboat, pedal boat and canoe rentals.
Lake Accotink Park offers classes in fine arts, sports and fitness, dog obedience, and more.
Directions: Lake Accotink may be reached from I-95 by taking Old Keene Mill Rd. west to right on Hanover Ave. to left on Highland Ave. to right on Accotink Park Rd. to front entrance on left.

LAKE FAIRFAX PARK is located at 1400 Lake Fairfax Drive in Reston.
Its 476 acres include a 18-acre lake, The Water Mine, an outdoor
swimming pool enveloped by a lazy river; fishing, a carousel,
campgrounds, trails, playground and picnic areas.
Nominal fees are charged for the Water Mine, marina, carousel, and camping. Swimming and windsurfing are prohibited in
the lake.
Directions: Lake Fairfax Park may be reached by taking
Beltway Exit 47A which is Route 7 or Leesburg Pike west to a left on Baron
Cameron Avenue to the second left on Lake Fairfax Drive.
