EQUESTRIAN CENTERAREA DESCRIPTION: Located at the site of the former Lorton Prison dairy area, the equestrian center use celebrates the site’s historic industry in agriculture and animal husbandry. The equestrian center is proposed as a full service resident horse facility for classes, stabling, riding and therapeutic riding programs. The center would also include show rings, paddocks, stables, barns and meadows for horse trails. Other proposed uses on this site include community gardens and designated locations for tent and RV camping. Interim uses may include recreational fields.
