"Let's go to the DRIVE-IN"

A FREE series of drive-in movies held Saturday nights in August at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Centre Parking in Centreville. For those who remember taking a date or the whole family, kids and all, to a drive-in movie, here is a chance to relive the good old days; for those who came along to late for the drive-in ere, it's an opportunity to sample this old fashion fun. The Spotlight on Cinema movies can be watched on the big screen from the comfort of your car or from beneath a canopy of stars in a designated seating area.

Starlight Cinema Drive-In Movies

Your evening will begin with an outdoor pre-movie program - music, food and children's activities. Then, at dark, the movies will start. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.

This summer the Saturday night Starlight Cinema series will feature the following films:

August 1: MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA
August 8: KUNG FU PANDA
August 15: HOTEL FOR DOGS
August 22: THE TALE OF DESPEREAUX

Welcome to the third year of Sully District Starlight Cinema.

The movie nights are designed to bring people together and nurture community spirit. The program is modeled after the Park Authority's summer concert series held throughout the county and in 2008 will provide four drive-in movies, free for the public to enjoy, on Saturday evenings in August.

The movies chosen were selected for their broad appeal; they are films that children and adults alike will enjoy. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. Feel free to bring a picnic, blanket and chairs, and visit with your neighbors under the stars. Held at Trinity Centre, Sully District Starlight Cinema is made possible through a partnership of the Park Authority, KSI/Clark construction (the owners of Trinity Centre) and private donations.
