Park Authority Announces Stratton Woods Park
Master Plan Amendment Approved

The proposed Master Plan Amendment for Stratton Woods Park was approved by the Park Authority Board at their regular meeting on September 23, 2009.

The next step is to file for a public use determination (referred to as a 2232) with the Planning Commission who will determine if the use is in conformance with the County Comprehensive Plan in terms of character, location and extent. This process takes about 3 - 6 months after the application is filed.

Upon approval of a 2232 and availability of funds, an illumination plan and engineered site plan would be developed by the Park Authority and it’s consultants and submitted for review approval by Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services prior to construction.
