Spring Hill Renovation Wins NACPRO Award
The expansion and renovation of the Spring Hill RECenter in McLean, Virginia, is being honored with an award from the National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials (NACPRO). The Fairfax County Park Authority project has been selected as a recipient of the 2016 NACPRO Award in the Park and Recreation Facility Class II category.
Spring Hill’s $10 million facelift increased the size of the facility, adding a two-story fitness center, a gymnasium with an elevated running track, and new office space. Last year, the project received an Award of Merit from the Northern Virginia Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
An awards ceremony is planned for this July, during NACPRO’s summer meeting.
NACPRO is a non-profit professional organization that advances official policies that promote county and regional park and recreation issues while providing members with opportunities to network, exchange ideas and best practices, and enhance professional development.
