TextPark Board Announces New Foundation Board Member
The Fairfax County Park Authority Board confirmed the appointment of John E. Osborn to the Fairfax County Park Foundation Board of Directors. Osborne joins a growing number of local business and community leaders who have joined this Board in an effort to provide financial support to the Fairfax County Park Authority. The action was unanimous at the Park Board’s regular meeting.
A banker for nearly three decades, Osborn joined Sandy Spring Bank in Fairfax as a Senior Vice President/Commercial Lender and Team Leader in 2008. He previously served clients with First Virginia Bank in Northern Virginia and the Maryland/DC suburbs for over 16 years.
He has served on the Leadership Fairfax Inc. Board of Directors and Alumni Outreach Committee. He is active at Centreville United Methodist Church where he served as chair of the Life Stewardship Committee and on the church Finance Committee and Staff/Parish Relationship Committee. His other community activities include leadership roles with Rotary International, the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, the Ohio State University Alumni Association, Southwest Youth Association, scouting, Neighborhood Watch and various high school and community sponsored sports.
He is a graduate of Ohio State University. He married his high school sweetheart from Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax and has three children.
