Girlfriends Share Afternoon Tea at Sully
On Sunday, January 27,
2013 from 2 until 3:30 p.m., grab your girlfriends and enjoy
tea and treats in the historic ambiance of Sully.
No politics, no football, just an afternoon to relax and
recharge. Hear the eloquence of letters written by the Lee family. The
Lee ladies were especially vivid writers. Hear what they had to say about
travel, the gardens, children and more. Our challenge to you – see if you
can write an equally eloquent letter without a computer. We’ll supply
paper and pens. You can also see a display of 18th and 19th century
letters, writing implements and other equipment needed to produce the
perfect letter to friend or kinsman.
Tea is for ages eight to adult, and the cost is $25. Prepaid reservations are required and space is limited. To register for this program visit Parktakes Online.
Sully Historic Site is located at 3650 Historic Sully Way, Chantilly, VA 20151, off Rt. 28 (Sully Road) ¼ mile north of Rt. 50 and 5 miles south of the Dulles Toll Road.
