Farmers Table Returns to Frying Pan Farm Park for Second Year

Meet with local farmers and vendors to find seasonal produce, baked goods, meats and eggs at The Farmers Table, a weekly open house hosted at Frying Pan Farm Park’s visitor center each Thursday from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Farmers Table runs every Thursday from February 21 through April 25, 2013.

Every week will be unique with different themes or a free activity for everyone to enjoy. This may include wagon rides, pony rides, making cupcakes, warming fires, craft activities and meeting baby animals. Best of all, learn what is in season and how to use it! Add flavor to winter meals with herbs, dry mixes and honey, or enjoy artisan soups, hummus and yogurts.

For information, call 703-437-9101. The visitor center is located at 2739 West Ox Rd, in Herndon, Va. Local vendors and artists may apply to participate until Sunday, January 27.
