Historic Huntley Seeks Docents And Program Assistants
Historic Huntley is hosting a planning meeting for anyone
interested in volunteering as a docent or historic program assistant. The
meeting will take place in the visitor center auditorium at Huntley
Meadows Park on Sunday, February 10, 2013, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Huntley Meadows
Park is located at 3701 Lockheed Blvd. in Alexandria, Va.
Historic Huntley is seeking docents to be trained in the fine arts of program leadership and tour guidance. Volunteers will lead tours and assist with interpretive programs for all age groups at the federal period villa built for Thomson Francis Mason in 1825. Historic Huntley was renovated and reopened to the public in 2012, and may be rented for special events.
