Make This Valentine Season A Special Time
Valentine’s Day offers numerous opportunities for fun, and perhaps romance, at your favorite parks! You’ll find activities for youngsters as well as poetry lovers and those who love history. Take the plunge with a special holiday program!
Enjoy poetry
and tea with your favorite sweetheart at the Machen Farm within Ellanor C. Lawrence Park from 2
to 3:30 p.m. this Saturday, February 9, 2013. A costumed
interpreter will share Walney’s mystery love poem and then invite you to
write and share your own verses with the group. Leave with your poem
framed in childhood Valentine card style and with a tummy full of (mint)
tea and cookies. The cost is $7. For information, call 703-631-0013.
Ellanor C. Lawrence Park is located at 5040 Walney Road in Chantilly, VA.

refreshments, crafts and lots more. The program is held from 10 a.m.
until noon and again from 2 to 4 p.m. The cost is $8 per
person. Register at
Parktakes Online. For more information call 703-451-9588.
