Longtime Gardener to Present Aging Gracefully at Green Spring
Novice and
experienced “green thumbs” alike are invited to attend Aging Gracefully,
the next presentation in the Harry Allen Winter Lecture
Series at Green Spring
Gardens. On Sunday, March 3, 2013, at 1:30 p.m., having
earned every wrinkle, and resolutely proud of them, Elissa Steeves will
muse aloud on over 40 years of personal gardening experience. She will
share how her garden reflects her own unique personality. With poise and
humor she will discuss some really great plants and how age brings
changes to our tastes and ideas about gardening. Admission is $10 per
person.
The Harry Allen Winter Lecture Series is an annual series of presentations by authors, garden designers, scientists, and other garden enthusiasts on the cutting edge of horticulture. Time is scheduled afterward to meet the presenter and enjoy refreshments.
The final two lectures in the series will cover American Top 40 (planting native species) on March 10, and Beatrix Farrand’s Legacy on March 17.
