Young Kids Embark on Acorn Adventures at Hidden Pond Park
Starting in March, Hidden Pond Nature Center will offer Acorn Adventures, a new series of nature programs for two and three-year-old kids. On Tuesday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. kids will learn about plants and animals in the nature center before moving outside to explore the wild world of Hidden Pond Park. Each hands-on session has a different focus, ranging from fish to flowers and other natural subjects. The cost is $6 per person.

Kids learn about a very special water animal - fish!
Tuesday, March 12: Terrific Trees
Spring is coming soon, just ask a tree! Kids learn how a tree can grow
so tall without eating anything! They'll get to know them better, feel
their bark, and see their buds waiting for spring!
Tuesday, March 19: Songs of Nature
Spring is here, and our world is alive with song! Kids will listen to
recordings of spring animal sounds, meet a singing animal, and use their
listening skills outside to hear nature's concert.
Tuesday, March 26: Animal Babies
Spring is when nature's babies are born! Kids will learn about all
different kinds of animal babies and what to do if you find one. They'll
seek out places in the park where animal babies might make their homes
Tuesday, April 2: Fabulous Flowers Flowers have a very important job - to make a seed! They also have some insect friends help them with their job. Kids will name the colors, count the petals, and see how many flowers they can find on a hike!
