Sully Hosts 41st Annual Antique Car Show on Father's Day

Sully Hosts 41st Annual Antique Car Show on Father's Day

Sunday, June 15, 2014 marks the 41st anniversary of the Sully Antique Car Show, co-hosted by Fairfax County Park Authority and the Model A Ford Club of America.  Between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., bring dad to this historic show featuring foreign and American cars, trucks and specialty vehicles through 1989. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for children.  Free parking is available on site.

Partners and sponsors for this year’s show include J.C. Taylor Insurance, Bratton’s Antique Auto Parts, George’s Automotive Restorations and Fairfax County Park Foundation.

More than 400 antique and classic vehicles fill Sully Historic Site’s grounds at the largest car show in Northern Virginia.  Trophies and plaques will be awarded in all classes at the end of the day.  You can purchase the car of your dreams at the Car Corral, watch a Model T take-apart demonstration, or find the perfect accessory or gift in the Craft, Antique and Auto Market.

Rock ‘n’ roll to music of the 50s with Jumpin’ Jupiter and enjoy traditional vocal and instrumental bluegrass with the New Old Time String Band.  Treat yourself to a delicious lunch or snack from our food court.

At the children’s tent, our younger visitors can play with old-fashioned toys and games and create a special classic car picture for dad.  Special coloring books have been created just for this show.

Included in admission is a guided tour of the first floor of the 1794 home of Richard Bland Lee, Northern Virginia’s first congressman. See the original 18th century open hearth kitchen that was converted into a garage in the 1950s.
