Caravan of Thieves Dazzles during Summer Concert Season

Caravan of Thieves Dazzles during Summer Concert Season

Get ready for a combination of stomp, jazz and gypsy swing! Caravan of Thieves will be performing during Fairfax County Park Authority’s Summer Entertainment Series on Saturday, July 5, 2014. This free concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the Workhouse Arts Center.

The band started in 2008 when married couple Fuzz and Carrie Sangiovanni discovered that their voices blended quite well together. With the addition of two more members, the group went on to produce three albums and several music videos. The ensemble has also shared the stage with world renowned artists such as The Decemberists and Iron and Wine.

Driving gypsy jazz rhythms, acoustic guitars, upright bass and violin lie at the heart of their musical sound. Caravan of Thieves puts on humorous, theatrical performances, inviting the audience to join in by clapping, stomping and singing along.

The Workhouse Arts Center is located at 9601 Ox Road in Lorton, Va.

The Summer Entertainment Series is made possible by the Fairfax County Park Authority, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, the Fairfax County Park Foundation and generous contributions from local businesses and corporate sponsors.

For weather-related cancellations, call 703-324-SHOW (7469) one hour before the show. For more information, visit Summer Entertainment Series or call 703-324-8662.
