Puppet Shows in Parks Add Variety to Winter Break

Bob Brown PuppetsRelaxing at home and playing with new toys is tons of fun but after a while it’s best to get out of the house. Step away from the video screens and create great family memories at your parks. How about coming to see a puppet show? Master puppeteer Bob Brown will perform his holiday production, the Snow Show, at Frying Pan Farm Park on Friday, December 27, 2013 and Hidden Oaks Nature Center has puppet shows slated for December 27 and 28.

Frying Pan Farm Park - December 27, 2013
Join Bob Brown’s lively marionettes as they frolic in a magical winter wonderland of snow at Frying Pan Farm Park. Choose your performances 10 and 11:30 a.m. After the Snow Show, explore the park and visit the animals. Admission to the show is $4 per person. For information, call 703-437-9101. Hidden Oaks Nature Center - December 27, 2013 & January 2, 2014
Also on Friday, December 27, children ages 4 to 10 will enjoy three Wild Things puppet shows at Hidden Oaks Nature Center from 10 to 11 a.m. A naturalist will share live animals highlighted in the stories. Kids will also enjoy the Native American legend of how butterflies came to be. Admission is $5. See the show again on Thursday, January 2, 2014. For information, call 703-941-1065. Hidden Oaks Nature Center - December 28, 2013
Dinosaurs once roamed the earth, places far and near. How do we know they were here? Find out during a Dino Puppet show at Hidden Oaks Nature Center from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 28.
