Bluegrass Barn Concert Series Welcomes Flint Hollow Band
The new Bluegrass Barn concert series continues Sunday, December 16, 2012, when the Flint Hollow Band takes the stage at Frying Pan Farm Park at 7 p.m. The concert will take place in the visitor center auditorium, which was formerly used as a dairy barn and church sanctuary.
Whether Flint Hollow performs a classic bluegrass tune or one of their many original numbers, listeners will be whisked away to days gone by. Mixing traditional bluegrass with a splash of contemporary, Flint Hollow will showcase their wealth of vocal and instrumental talent.
Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door and may be purchased online with a Parktakes membership number Parktakes Online or by calling 703-222-4664. The doors open at 6 p.m. and show time is 7 p.m. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Previous performances in the Bluegrass Barn series include David Petersen and 1946, Appalachian Flyer, and the Patuxent Partners. The series will continue every other Sunday through April 2013.
