TextCheck Out Huntley Meadows This Sunday
This Sunday, December 9, 2012, join in the Holiday
Happening celebration at Huntley Meadows Park. From 11 to 4 p.m. families
will find a variety of activities including craft making and even ten
percent off merchandise at the store. And of course, nature and the
adventure of a hike on the boardwalk are right outside the Visitor
Center’s front door.
If you love nature photography plan to attend the opening reception of the 2012 Photography Contest beginning at 2 p.m. The Friends of Huntley Meadows Park photo contest is a fundraiser and draws talented photographers from the region. The public is invited to attend the opening and award presentations. Yummy treats will be served. All photos were taken in the park and can be viewed in the multi-purpose room. All monies raised from the sale of these photographs and contest entries support the park. Several photographers will be in attendance.
