TextPublic Invited to Speak With Park Officials
As the New Year approaches perhaps you have made a commitment to get more involved in your community. Perhaps you have some thoughts or suggestions or concerns to share with the Park Authority Board. If so, there is a venue to accommodate the desire for public comment.
Residents are invited to speak at the start of regular Park Authority Board meetings. The Board will hear testimony from residents on any park topic except issues related to litigation or personnel matters. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. in Suite 941 of the Herrity Building located at 12055 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA. You can find out when the Board is meeting and specifics of our Public Forum by visiting online. Walk in speaking slots are available on a first come, first served basis. Register via e-mail to Parkmail, or call the Public Information Office at 703-324-8662, or sign up in person at the Herrity Building, Suite 927, by noon on the day of the meeting.
Park Authority Director John Dargle Jr. also hosts bi-monthly Listening Forums in the community. Members of the public are invited to speak on park topics at these informal gatherings. The next Listening Forum is slated for Thursday, January 17, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the Herrity Building in Board Room 941. The building is located at 12055 Government Center Parkway in Fairfax VA.
