Equestrian Classes English Style Riding Lessons Please note that if you are unable to attend class, you must notify the stable at least one day in advance. Remember to check with the appropriate stable; there may be a make-up fee charged. For safety's sake, students must wear riding helmets and hard-soled shoes with a heel, not athletic shoes. Lucia Farms 14490 Berlin Turnpike. Lovettsville, VA, approximately 40 minutes from Fairfax City. Lucia Farms is dedicated to educating students on quality horses and ponies in a safe and friendly environment. Class size limited to eight students. Student should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class time in order to prepare their horse. Maximum weight of student must not exceed 200 pounds. Stable has indoor and outdoor lighted facilities. Equestrian Facilities Frying Pan Park 2709 West Ox Rd. Herndon, VA 703-437-9101 Frying Pan Park has indoor and outdoor riding arenas, trails and jump equipment. Throughout the year, horse shows make regular use of the Activity Center's exhibit areas and barns (with stalls for 171 horses). Due to the heavy use of the Activity Center's indoor riding arena, please call for availability. COST: (with your own horse) $6/horse per hour, plus $3.50 with instructor. Frying Pan Park DOES NOT provide riding lessons or rent out horses. Turner Farm Park Georgetown Pike (Route 193) and Springvale Road (Route 674) Great Falls, VA Almost 40 acres of open fields are now enclosed by perimeter fencing and are open for general riding. Construction of the cross country course is underway.
