PLEASE NOTE: This is an update for Tuesday, February 9. Since the Fairfax County Park Authority follows the opening and closing decisions of the Fairfax County Public Schools, Park Authority events, scheduled classes and group fitness (XYO) drop-in classes held at RECenters or other FCPA facilities are cancelled for Tuesday, February 9. Park Authority classes held at school locations, senior centers or community centers are cancelled. Preschool programs at Lee District and Spring Hill will not operate. RECenters will open at noon, Tuesday, February 9 and will be available to the public. Green Spring Gardens and Frying Pan Farm Park will also open at noon, Tuesday, February 9. Lee District RECenter 6601 Telegraph Road Franconia, Virginia 703-922-9841 Map/Directions Lee District RECenter, approximately 83,600 square feet, is comprised of three major areas; Natatorium, Gymnasium and Fitness Center. The Natatorium includes a heated, indoor 50-meter by 25-yard pool, a Superslide, three diving boards, spa, spectator seating, locker rooms, family changing room, saunas, and showers and an outdoor sun deck and grassed sunbathing area. The 20,400 square foot gymnasium includes one regulation size basketball court, or is convertible to two half courts, or two volleyball courts. Also included are electronic scoreboards, spectator seating, boxing equipment, volleyball nets and a three-lane, 1/10 mile running track. The Fitness Center has a dedicated fitness studio equiped with CREW, indoor cycles, Pilates Allegro equipment, Cybex VR2 machines connected to the FitLinxx network, and a wide selection of cardiovascular equipment, free-weights, and a stretching area. In addition to these main features, the RECenter also contains racquetball/wallyball courts, two mirrored dance/fitness rooms, three multi-purpose rooms, a mezzanine, and preschool. The surrounding 193 acre park has one soccer field with two overlay T-Ball fields, two football fields with two overlay softball fields, four basketball courts, an amphitheater, four picnic areas (one sheltered), horseshoe pits, a sand volleyball court, a playground and tot lot, four lighted tennis courts, a tennis practice wall, walking trails, and a carrousel.   Lee District RECenter Hours of Operation Facility Pool Mon. - Thu. 5am - 9:30pm Mon. - Thu. 6am - 9:30pm Fri. 5am - 9pm Fri. 6am - 8pm Sat. 8am - 6pm Sat. 9am - 6pm Sun. 8am - 8pm Sun. 8am - 6pm LAP SWIM & FCPA CLASSES ONLY Saturdays 9 a.m. - noon and Sundays 8 a.m. - noon (Spring, Summer, and Fall sessions only).
