South Run Aquatics
Various user groups share pool space. FCPA and Fairfax County Public Schools share the commitment for hosting the high school swim and dive teams for practice and meets November through February. Nationally ranked swim teams also rent space for practice and meets. Diving Boards On Saturdays from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm and Sundays 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm the diving boards are open based on lifeguard and pool space availability. Combining an available room rental option with diving board times can create a fun “dive and swim” birthday party. Please contact South Run at 703-866-0566 for more information. Each child must swim (without flotation device) the width of the pool (25 yards) without stopping or grabbing the divider ropes to use diving boards. No flotation device may be worn on the diving boards. Flotation device use by non-swimmers in the shallow end requires direct adult (in-water) supervision.
Our Lifeguards Professionally trained lifeguards oversee all natatorium activities. We are proud to be associated with Ellis & Associates (E & A), an aquatic safety consulting firm that provides the National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training Program (NPWLTP). Licensed lifeguards maintain high standards with constant training and practice. If you are interested in becoming a lifeguard at one of our RECenters, visit the RECenter Employment web page for more information on how and where to apply, or call the RECenter where you would like to work. |

The South Run RECenter has a 25 x 25 yard pool with two one-meter Duraflex springboards, an outdoor sundeck, poolside spa, and locker rooms with saunas and showers. Our comprehensive programs promote safety, skill development, fitness, social interaction and fun.
