Stewardship Program - Natural & Cultural Resources

Gateway to Sully Woodlands Park

Cub Run RECenter - Nature Program

Educational Offerings

Cub Run is a special place for many reasons, but it is important to point out that this is the first time a full time naturalist has been based at a RECenter in Fairfax County. Sully Woodlands offers a great opportunity for natural and cultural resources education and although the park has not yet been developed this new partnership between nature center and RECenter allows the citizens of Fairfax County to learn about and be involved in the protection of the vast resources the Sully Woodlands represent. Programs will be offered by the Cub Run naturalist and other qualified instructors, a mix of traditional RECenter type classes and traditional nature center programs will be offered to accommodate all possible interest levels and audiences.

Programs are offered for local schools as well as special programs designed to help scouts earn wilderness and wildlife related badges. Service projects are also available.

To register for child and family one-session programs listed below please drop in or call Cub Run RECenter at 703-817-9407 and leave your name, number attending, and contact information.

If accommodations and/or alternative formats are needed please call 703-324-8563 at least 10 working days in advance of the registration deadline or event. TTY 703-803-3354.
