Marie Butler Leven Preserve

Natural Resources Branch

1501 Kirby Road
McLean, VA 22101

The 20-acre Marie Butler Leven Preserve in McLean, Virginia, is being transformed into an extensive native plant collection. The Park Authority is working on the project in partnership with the Earth Sangha, a local nonprofit charity.

The project, begun in 2004, focuses on controlling invasive alien plants and reintroducing plants that are native to Fairfax County. It will eventually create a living field guide accessible to all Fairfax County residents.

For more information, see Earth Sangha.
