Nature Finder

Nature Finder is actually two searchable databases of all the birds and flowers that have been recorded in our major parks. You can find out what birds are abundant in fall, or what you will see at Huntley Meadows in March. You can see what grows in wetlands in spring, or where to find those carpets of bluebells that make a top regional display.
For the Bird Finder, search by season, by bird name, by species category, by season, by site, by habitat, and/or by abundance. The richness of the parks' habitats--riverbank, meadow, wetlands, forests, thickets--insure you good birding any time of year.
For the Wildflower Finder, search for plants by common name, Latin species name, by season, by site, by habitat, and by color description. Remember that early spring wildflowers begin in March, and that the berries or plant fruits go all winter long.
Ellanor C. Lawrence Park has its own bird list, so be sure and check that as well.
