Cub Scout Sleepover at the Great Falls Grange
Friday, February 17, 6pm – Saturday, February 18, 9am
(7-11 yrs.) Great Falls Grange, Great Falls, VA. (Call Riverbend Park for reservations.) Enjoy a fun-filled night of games and activities from the early 1900’s with a Riverbend naturalist. Bring sleeping bags, flashlights and a picnic dinner. Adult chaperones must accompany scouts at all times. Light breakfast provided. $14/person, optional Riverbend patch available $3.15 each.

(Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts) Visitors’ Center. View outer space through a telescope,
listen to ancient stories about the constellations ‘round the campfire, take a guided tour of the
night sky, and participate in hands-on activities. This festival features Mars. Brownies complete Space Explorer badge and Juniors complete Sky Search badge and elements of It’s Your Planet –Love It Journey. Teen scout volunteers welcome. Reservations and advance payment required. $7.50 per scout, $7.50 per sibling, $4 per adult. Riverbend patch available for $3.15 each.

Scout Camping for Brownies and Juniors
Friday, April 20, 6pm - Saturday, April 21, 9am
(7-11 yrs.) Visitor Center. Scouts set up their tents and camp under the stars. Pack a dinner to cook over the campfire, enjoy a night hike and s’mores. Adult chaperones must accompany scouts at all times. Bring tents, sleeping bags, dinner and flashlights. Reservations and advance payment required by 4/12. Canceled if rain. $14/person, Riverbend patch available for $3.15/scout.

Scout Fishing
(Boy and Girl Scouts age 6 and older) Visitor Center. Learn fishing basics, what type of fish live in the Potomac River, and then go fish! The naturalist will share some fishing tips, along with fishing safety and regulations. Wolf scouts can complete their Fishing elective. Available beginning May 1. Call to arrange a date for your group. Fee includes rod rental. $12/scout.
