Attention Scout Leaders! Sully Historic Site can help your Boy or Girl Scouts achieve their badge requirements!

All programs last for one and a half hours and fulfill all requirements.

Visit the house and plantation Northern Virginia’s first Congressman, Richard Bland Lee, constructed after he completed three terms in office. Also, learn about Richard Bland Lee’s role in the early federal government.

Discover how the Lee family lived in the 1790s and how it was the same and different to how we live today.

Elective 45: Fresh Baking
Learn how people cooked in the 1790s and help make an historic receipt (recipe) in our original open hearth kitchen.

Use Resources Wisely
There once was a time where almost everything a family used had to come from their own land. How did the Lees live off the land at Sully in the late 1700s? What can they teach us about respecting the land?

Tour the historic house and grounds including the Lee family cemetery. Play games Lee children may have played and make your own toy to take home.

Junior Girl Scouts
Local Lore
Sully has witnessed over 200 years of Fairfax County history. Learn how Sully has changed with the county and the nation as we evolved from horses to jet planes. 

Yarn and Fabric Arts
Learn how to weave, tie knots, and start a macramé project while also practicing how people made clothes and other fabric objects over 200 years ago.
