Title:	Adapted Class Instructor Assistant
Goal:	To create a comfortable learning environment for physically and/or mentally challenged students that will result in a positive experience in which safety is the primary concern for all participants.
Duties:	Offer additional supervision and support in a foundational/transitional class that provides children with disabilities opportunities to develop skills specific to the classes such as adapted gymnastics; adapted ice skating. Light to moderate lifting.
Qualifications:	Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. The ability to look beyond the disability and at the individual is of utmost importance.
Training:	Must complete FCPA Safety Training, Sexual Harassment and STARS customer service training within two weeks of start date.
Certifications/Tests:	None
Time Required:	Average of four hours per week. Must commit for one complete session.
