Ellanor C. Lawrence Park's visitor center is in the Walney House, originally a farmhouse built around 1780. The park is near the junction of I-66 and Rt. 28.

Forest, streams, a meadow, a pond, wildflowers, a visitor center, exhibits, a natural area, wildlife, picnic tables and a picnic shelter, a playground, ball fields, hiking trails, an amphitheater, an 18th century mill and miller’s house, historic outbuildings

Hidden Oaks Nature Center is in Annandale Community Park, not far from the intersection of Little River Turnpike and Hummer Road.

WHAT TO SEE
Interactive natural and cultural exhibits, live animal displays, a puppet stage, a resource library, an auditorium, a pond, woodland trails, creeks, butterfly gardens, a rain garden, a playground, an unstructured woodland play area, a picnic area, ball fields, and the Fred M. Packard Center.

Hidden Pond Nature Center is located in the middle of a quiet Springfield neighborhood.

WHAT TO SEE
Indoor exhibits, live animal displays, woodland trails, a self-guided nature trail, a one-acre pond, a small amphitheater, books, a tot lot, a picnic shelter, tennis courts, a playground, wildlife, woodlands, Pohick Creek, wetlands.

Huntley Meadows Park is a 1500-acre nature preserve that includes forests and regionally-rare marsh wetlands. It provides some of the best wildlife watching in Fairfax County.

A vast wetlands with a half-mile boardwalk , a two-mile interpretive trail, a hike-bike trail, wildlife observation platforms, a visitor center, exhibits, gift shop, a classroom, an auditorium, forests, meadows, trails, an outdoor classroom, rental facilities, nationally significant Historic Huntley house

Riverbend Park is more than 400 acres of forest, meadows and streams alongside the Potomac River upstream from and adjacent to Great Falls National Park.

Cub Run RECenter in Chantilly is the first RECenter to feature nature programs with a resident naturalist.
