MCCP serves children who are from 1 month to 18 years in age who live in Fairfax County and are attending school, if school age. They are children of the "working poor" of Fairfax County, whose income does not exceed 250% of poverty ($51,625 for a family of four).
If your income is less than 200% of poverty and you are a citizen or qualified alien, you may qualify for FAMIS, the Commonwealth of Virginia's children's health insurance program.
Fill out our online form to see if your child qualifies for FREE or low-cost health care!!
Children are enrolled in MCCP either by contacting the Office of Partnerships or its community based delegate agency, Northern Virginia Family Service - 703-385-3267, TTY 711. Case managers from Northern Virginia Family Service provide the initial linkage with the physicians, make the first appointment, arrange for transportation, if necessary and follow up with the families to assure medications are properly disbursed. As a result of receiving preventive health care plus immediate acute treatment, these children are healthier, productive residents of our community.
