MCCP Walk of Fame Gala 2008

(Fairfax, Va.) — Fairfax County

Gala Audience

Guests were dazzled on Saturday, April 5th with a night of elegance and glamour at the MCCP “Walk of Fame” Gala, held at the Westfields Marriott Hotel in Chantilly, Virginia.

Peggy Fox of WUSA-9 News served as mistress of ceremonies for the event and the honorees were George Mason University President, Dr. Alan Merten and long-time MCCP Advisory Council member Sally Merten; Randy Norton, CEO and Michael Ranney, President of Great American Restaurants; Aetna Corporation; and Dr. Carla Epps, Kaiser Permanente Pediatrician.

The gala commenced with a “Studio for the Stars” VIP reception, followed by a Silent Auction in which guests bid on goods that were generously donated by organizations from across the metropolitan DC area. Guests then took a stroll down “the red carpet” into the exquisite ballroom, where they enjoyed dinner and the awards ceremony. The evening closed with entertainment and dancing under dimmed lights to live music by The Odyssey Band.

"This event gave us the chance to recognize some of our outstanding supporters and to share the MCCP story with others in the community who may just be learning about our program,” explained Diane Naughton, co-chair of MCCP's Advisory Council. "We were especially pleased to have as special guests one of our very first MCCP families, with their now-grown, healthy and thriving adult children."Guests were dazzled on Saturday, April 5th with a night of elegance and glamour at the MCCP “Walk of Fame” Gala, held at the Westfields Marriott Hotel in Chantilly, Virginia.
