Welcome to the podcast of meeting highlights for the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors meeting on February 9, 2010.

The Board of Supervisors meeting had a revised time and
agenda due to the weather. The meeting began at noon instead of
9:15 a.m. The afternoon public hearings were deferred to the Feb. 23
regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors meeting. The
presentations will be rescheduled.

The Board Legislative Committee met on Jan. 29 to consider several
issues of importance to the County and the Board accepted the report
and recommendations for action from that committee meeting.
- A second snow storm will exacerbate the existing emergency situation and further threaten the county with damage, loss, hardship or suffering, so the Board confirmed and extended the Declaration of Local Emergency dated Feb. 4, 2010 until noon on Monday, Feb. 15, 2010.
