Celebrate Fairfax!, Northern Virginia’s largest community-wide
celebration, arrives June 10-12, at the Fairfax County Government Center,
which is magically filled with fascinating sights and sounds of more than
300 exhibitors, food vendors, crafters and interactive activities.
Celebrate Fairfax! showcases live concerts, a petting zoo, carnival rides
and great festival foods. Plus, there’s nightly fireworks. Visit

The public is invited to an upcoming open house on ongoing Tysons
planning and implementation activities following the adoption of a new
Comprehensive Plan last year. Representatives from Fairfax County
agencies will provide project updates and answer questions. Rezoning
applicants who have submitted plans to redevelop in line with the new
vision for Tysons will also be available to present their proposals and
answer questions. A list of open house participants and topics will be
posted on the Tysons website as they are confirmed. Presenters will be
stationed at tables for one-on-one and small group discussions. There
will be no formal presentations; a brief welcome message and introduction
of the presenters will begin at 7:30 p.m. The open house is from 7 to 9
p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, at Spring Hill Elementary School, 8201
Lewinsville Road in McLean. Meeting attendees are invited to come and go

A free summer soccer camp for kids 6 to 14 will be held Monday through
Friday, June 27 to Aug. 19, from 1-4 p.m. at Bailey’s Elementary School,
6111 Knollwood Drive, Falls Church. The annual Culmore Soccer Camp is
designed to teach children the fundamental elements of soccer.
Participants at Culmore Soccer camp are separated into four age groups
which allows participants to work with individuals in the same skill
range. In addition to soccer skills, the camp also offers educational
programs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4-5 p.m. Registration
forms are available in English and Spanish. For more
