MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 8000 block of Kidd Street, 10/13/13, 11:30 p.m. Two men entered a residence and one displayed a gun. The suspects took property and assaulted a resident. The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury. The first suspect was described as Asian, 20’s to 30’s, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing a dark coat or hoodie. The second suspect was described as in his 20’s to 30s, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing a black ski mask.

ROBBERY, 8200 block of Russell Road, 10/16/13, 1:57 a.m. A man entered a convenience store and displayed a knife to an employee. The suspect took cash and fled. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, 20s, about 6 feet 3 inches tall with a thin build.

PURSUIT, 6700 block of Richmond Highway, 10/16/13, 12:28 p.m. A motorcycle officer attempted to stop an SUV but the vehicle did not stop. Patrol officers observed the suspect vehicle and again attempted to initiate a traffic stop; again the vehicle fled. The suspect crashed, bailed out and fled on foot. He was apprehended in the 6200 block of Richmond Highway. Desmon Speight, 18, of Fort Washington, Maryland, was charged with speed to elude and obstruction.

BURGLARY, 7000 block of  Flamingo, 10/16/13. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

ROBBERY, 7600 block of Richmond Highway, 10/16/13, 6:15 p.m. A 40-year-old man was shopping at this location and upon exiting the store, observed a man taking his black moped. The victim was pushed as the suspect fled on the moped. The suspect was described as black, 20’s, with short corn rows and wearing a gray sweater and khaki pants.

LARCENIES:

1800 block of Abbotsford Drive, bicycle from residence

2100 block of Dominion Way, cell phone from school

Lee Highway/Circle Woods Drive, bicycle from business

9400 block of Lee Highway, Play Station and electronic device from residence

 

MASON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

7000 block of Bradley Circle, items from vehicle

2900 block of Chain Bridge Road, wallet from business

6800 block of Rosewood Street, sunglasses and change from vehicle

 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

11000 block of Warwickshire Drive, prescription medication from residence

 

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

6500 block of Backlick Road, license plates from vehicle
